Patterns
This tutorial was made for adobe photoshop, it
may or
may not be helpful in the use of other programs.
Copy & Paste
01. Sometimes people will leave patterns for you to copy and past, like 44suburbia.org. Just copy the pattern, and paste it as a new image.
02. Go to edit, define pattern, shown
here. And then name your pattern and press OK.
03. Go to the paint bucket tool, change the
foreground part to
pattern like
so. Find the pattern you would like to use, and you can fill any selection with this pattern that you'd like.
downloading
01. Click the download zip link.
02. Click save and let it download.
03. Save it somewhere; remember that place in case you want to get it at another time. You may even want to make a folder to keep all of the patterns you collect.
04. Hit save.
05. Shen it's done saving/downloading click open folder.
06. Right click on the folder and push 'extract all...' and go through the extracting process. ;P
07. Look at all those lovely patterns! now there should be a set after all the patterns of some type, either copy that or go back and just copy the whole folder. Open up your program and go to fill:pattern, and go to the drop downlist next to it. Click the little arrow to the right, and 'Load Patterns...'. shown
here.
08. Right click and paste it in there next to the other patterns. Then click on it and select 'Load',

09. Look at all your new
patterns! O:
